CVBL: Dallas Upsets LA Clippers
A much-improved Dallas team pulled off the 107-90 upset of LA Clippers today. "That's the best we've played all season," said Dallas coach Bob. "I've seen that potential in us all along, but for some reason it hasn't come out during games. Hopefully this outing can be the turning point for us that we can build on in future games."
LA Clippers was caught off-guard by new-look Dallas. "What we got out there today wasn't what we had seen before or on tape, even in their best games. So while we always try to prepare for the worst, we had no idea that they could play as well as they did today. I still think we can beat them, and next time we'll have an idea what to look for."
Dallas was led by Thompson (24 points, 14 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Langley (19 points), Schmidt (17 points, 2 steals). LA Clippers was led by Brown (29 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks), Side (14 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, a steal), Hayes (6 points, 4 assists).
After this win, Dallas improve to 20-25 and 12-11 at home. They hold at #4 in the Southwest and remain at #12 overall in the Western Conference. LA Clippers drop to 31-17. They stay at #2 in the Pacific and remain at #5 overall in the Western Conference.
