CVBL: Dallas Teaches San Antonio a Lesson
San Antonio suffered another humiliating defeat today, with the 109-77 loss to Dallas increasing calls for coach Bob's dismissal. It's looking to be a tough season for the embattled coach, who simply hasn't brought in the level of talent or coaching required to succeed at this level. Said Dallas star Harrington after the game, "I can't be sure who to blame, but San Antonio doesn't appear to be headed anywhere. Their coach hasn't brought in the kind of players he needed to, and it really didn't look like they knew what to do out there. Coach always comes up with a solid game plan for us and drills it into us, and I'm pretty sure he'd be able to do a better job than Bob is doing with San Antonio."
Dallas coach Bob refused to comment on the San Antonio coaching situation. "It's easy to be critical from where we stand, but I don't know enough about that situation to comment. I'm just happy with how we played today. We've got a great group of players and they did a tremendous job."
Dallas was led by Harrington (17 points, 13 boards, 1 assists, a block), Dossman (15 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Parker (19 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks). San Antonio was led by Kirby (15 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, a block), Ring (13 points, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Roberson (6 points, 5 assists).
Dallas are now 26-21 and 14-8 at home with today's victory. They advance to #1 in the Southwest and move up to #3 overall in the Western Conference. San Antonio drop to 22-25. They stay at #3 in the Southwest and remain at #8 overall in the Western Conference.
