CVBL: Brooklyn Pulls Out Upset of Cleveland
Foster had 49 points today, leading Brooklyn to a 115-107 upset of Cleveland. "It was an 'upset' in name only," said Cleveland coach Bob. "They were the better team today. Bob had his team better prepared than I had mine, and Foster was just too much for us to handle. It you didn't know the teams' records but just saw this game, you'd say Brooklyn was the better team by far."
Brooklyn was led by Foster (49 points, a steal, a block), Starks (17 points, 2 steals), Holmes (14 points, 1 assists). Cleveland was led by Gill (27 points, 17 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Telford (15 points, a steal), Taylor (18 points, 6 boards, 2 assists).
Brooklyn jump to 25-21 with today's win. They stay at #4 in the Atlantic and advance to #7 overall in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland drop to 26-22 and 16-7 at home with the loss. They hold at #2 in the Central and drop to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference.
