CVBL: Memphis Coasts Past LA Lakers
Memphis showed their mettle today with a convincing 108-96 win over LA Lakers. "After some of the games we've had, I think we've left some doubt as to whether we can solidly beat anybody," said head coach Bob after the game. "I don't know that one game will erase those doubts, but I can certainly see the difference in the locker room."
The win came largely as the result of a great effort by Brown, the Memphis star. Said Bob of him, "The game would have gone down to the wire without Brown's efforts today. He really made the difference between another tough battle and a dominating win."

LA Lakers was led by Sanchez (20 points, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Washington (11 points, 2 steals), Gavagan (18 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, a block).
Memphis keep rolling with a winning streak of 7 games and improve to 32-14. They stay at #1 in the Southwest and move up to #2 overall in the Western Conference. LA Lakers drop to 14-32 and 10-11 at home with the defeat. They hold at #4 in the Pacific and stay at #13 overall in the Western Conference.
