CVBL: San Antonio Edges Out Detroit in Overtime 114 - 110

Williams scored 47 points, leading San Antonio to a win over Detroit in a thriller that lived up the the hype and then some. Things started off a little slow, but the intensity picked up quickly. Neither sides was able to gain much of an advantage, but Detroit appeared to be gaining the momentum for a decisive run late in the game. San Antonio refused to stand by and watch the hard work go to waste, and was able to recover enough to send the game into overtime.

Before overtime began, coach Bob had some words with his team, encouraging them to keep the pressure on. Although not the screaming and yelling that Bob is known for, the talk had its desired effect, and San Antonio came out on top in the end.

San Antonio was led by Williams (47 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, a steal), Lynch (22 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals, a block), Owens (20 points, a steal, a block). Detroit was led by Best (6 points, 2 steals, a block), Delgado (28 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a block), Fox (22 points, a steal, 2 blocks).

San Antonio jump to 25-21 and 17-7 at home. They hold at #2 in the Southwest and hold at #6 overall in the Western Conference. Detroit drop to 25-20 after this defeat. They hold at #1 in the Central and stay at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
