CVBL: Orlando Pulls Out Win Over New York 105-96
Hunt continues to dominate the league and helped Orlando post an expected win over New York, 105-96. The game was a solid team effort, but Hunt - a favorite for post-season honors - was outstanding, completely overshadowing a great performance by New York key player, Fuller.
Hunt's coach, Bob, had nothing but praise for his star. "He's just special. It's something just to sit back and watch him do his thing. He certainly brings pride to Orlando fans everywhere." New York coach Bob was concilliatory after the game as well. "When Hunt is doing his thing, you just hope you can keep him under control. We didn't, though Fuller certainly did his part. We really thought we could win this game, so the locker room is pretty quiet right now. We'll just have to turn our focus to next week."
Orlando was led by Hunt (8 points, 12 boards, 0 assists, 4 blocks), Davis (15 points, 8 boards, 0 assists), Free (17 points, a block). New York was led by Fuller (21 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Crawford (12 points, 11 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Speight (14 points, 9 assists, a steal).
With the victory, Orlando jump to 33-14 and 22-3 at home. They remain at #1 in the Southeast and remain at #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. New York drop to 24-22 with this defeat. They remain at #3 in the Atlantic and hold at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference.
