CVBL: Philadelphia Almost Knocked off by Washington

Philadelphia and Washington put on a terrific show today, but Philadelphia came out on top 103-100. Said coach Bob after the game, "It's one of those games that you almost hate to see anyone lose. Both teams left it all out there, and I didn't want to see it finish. But in the end, we made a couple more big plays in overtime, and that made the difference."

Philadelphia was led by Wilson (13 points, 14 assists, a steal), Austin (21 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Ziegler (24 points). Washington was led by Borenstein (21 points, 12 boards, 1 assists), Taylor (21 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Griffin (10 points, 9 boards, 2 assists, a block).

Philadelphia stand at 30-18 after the win. They remain at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference. Washington drop to 14-32 and 8-14 at home. They move down to #4 in the Southeast and drop to #13 overall in the Eastern Conference.
