CVBL: Detroit Tops Houston
Detroit beat Houston 115-109 today in a great game. Although some pundits were predicting a blowout, the two teams delivered a memorable game that left the fans on the edges of their seats until the very end. "It's one of those games that nobody should have to lose," said Detroit coach David Smith. "I'm definitely glad it wasn't us."
Houston coach Bob will be rethinking some of his choices for some time. "I thought we tried the right things at the right times, but of course hindsight is perfect. Obviously not everything we did worked, though, and in a game like this that could have made the difference."
Detroit was led by Lacroix (22 points, 19 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Price (12 points), Martin (24 points, 1 assists, a block). Houston was led by Howard (30 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks), James (16 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, a block), Mcmasters (16 points, 3 steals).
