CVBL: Detroit Beats Washington
A great game plan and solid execution gave Detroit a 94-93 win over Washington. The game looked like a toss-up on paper, with both teams having strengths and weaknesses. But Detroit coach David Smith had his team better-prepared, and the difference was clear when the teams began play. "It's embarrasing to admit, but I was outcoached today," said Washington coach Bob. "David Smith had his team prepared perfectly, and his players did exactly what they were supposed to do."
Detroit was led by Duckworth (6 points, 5 boards, 14 assists, a steal), Garcia (22 points, 5 boards, 2 assists), Burke (6 points, 15 boards, 2 assists, a steal). Washington was led by Butler (15 points, 20 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Telfer (18 points, 0 assists, 2 blocks), White (9 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block).
