CVBL: Miami Wins
Miami beat Golden State today in a 87-77 game that was close the whole way. For much of the game, it looked like Golden State would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Reeve. But the tide finally turned in the end, with Miami star Hively leading his team to victory.
"Definitely a great game," said Miami coach Bob after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Hively was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."
Miami was led by Hively (10 points, 11 boards, 2 assists, a block), James (20 points), Perry (7 points, 10 boards, 3 assists). Golden State was led by Reeve (23 points, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Cordner (7 points, 15 boards, 0 assists, a block), Worthy (7 points, 3 assists, 2 blocks).
Miami are now 32-15 with the victory. They stay at #1 in the Southeast and remain at #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. Golden State drop to 13-36 and 8-18 at home with this loss. They hold at #4 in the Pacific and remain at #14 overall in the Western Conference.
