CVBL: Bob Gets Big Win over Sacramento
In one of the most important games of the season for both teams, Chicago upstaged Sacramento 115-102. Showing more glitter than a Brittany Spears concert, perfect Chicago execution, a brilliant game by Horton, and impeccable play-calling by Bob provided all the right ingredients for a big win.
Westbrook was key for Sacramento, but after the game he looked like somebody had just run over his dog. "I thought we could do it. The whole game I was still thinking we were going to win. I guess that's the difference between thinking it and doing it. Give Chicago credit - they are nothing but class. I just feel sorry for coach Bob. He had us ready and we let him down."
Chicago was led by Horton (22 points, 15 boards, 1 assists), Wilson (5 points, 5 boards, 12 assists, 4 steals, a block), Joyner (23 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block). Sacramento was led by Westbrook (23 points, 2 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Montgomery (18 points, a steal, a block), Lake (14 points, 4 assists).
With today's victory, Chicago are now 29-18 and 16-7 at home. They hold at #4 in the Central and stay at #7 overall in the Eastern Conference. Sacramento fall to 17-30. They hold at #2 in the Pacific and remain at #11 overall in the Western Conference.
