CVBL: New York Coasts Past Golden State

New York played a solid game today, beating Golden State 89-78. Golden State players and fans were expecting the game to be a bit closer, but everything went well for New York today. "It was really frustrating," said Golden State star Adkins. "I thought we were going to be ready for this game, but we just couldn't do anything against them." Coach Perez Suarez seemed perplexed early on, but made a few adjustments late in the game that were too little, too late in this game but may help his side out next time these two teams meet.

New York was led by Powell (13 points, 16 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Speight (16 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, a steal), Turner (15 points, 2 assists, a steal). Golden State was led by Adkins (17 points, 13 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Stanford (14 points, 9 boards, 0 assists), Casterline (20 points, a block).

New York stand at 37-10. They hold at #1 in the Atlantic and hold at #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. Golden State fall to 11-36 and 7-17 at home. They hold at #5 in the Pacific and move down to #15 overall in the Western Conference.
