CVBL: Dallas Pulls Out Win Over San Antonio 118-112
Dallas star Thompson led his team to a win today in a key game against San Antonio. Although standings were at stake, the game was as much about bragging rights as anything. The teams have a long history against each other that began when coaches Bob and Bob traded insults after an apparently intentional injury to one of Bob's players. Although Bob has long denied that there was any malicious intent, Dallas fans don't believe it and turn out in large numbers whenever San Antonio comes to town.
Dallas was led by Thompson (29 points, 14 boards, 1 assists, a block), Schmidt (23 points, 0 assists, 2 steals), White (9 points). San Antonio was led by Williams (28 points, 5 boards, 0 assists), Meyers (17 points, 7 boards, 3 assists), Owens (15 points, a steal, 3 blocks).
Dallas are now 21-25 and 13-11 at home with this victory. They stay at #3 in the Southwest and hold at #11 overall in the Western Conference. San Antonio drop to 18-30. They remain at #5 in the Southwest and stay at #13 overall in the Western Conference.
