CVBL: Put it on the Board: New York Wins

New York gave a solid effort, handling Cleveland with ease in today's 106-95 win. This came as no surprise to New York fans, who have been watching their team continue to improve recently. Players are starting to feel more confident as well. "I feel we can take on just about anybody right now," said today's star, Frazier. "The way this team's playing, there's no limit to how far we can go." New York head coach Bob echoed his sentiment, saying "They all know they're as good as any other team in the league. They just have to stay focused and keep working, and the rest will take care of itself."

Lost in the excitement over New York was the performance of Cleveland star Darden.

New York was led by Frazier (25 points, 16 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Hollis (18 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), White (23 points, 1 assists, a block). Cleveland was led by Darden (18 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, 6 blocks), Lindo (20 points, 7 assists, a steal), Gill (11 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a block).

New York improve to 25-22 and 17-6 at home. They hold at #5 in the Atlantic and improve to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the defeat, Cleveland fall to 26-23. They remain at #2 in the Central and move down to #9 overall in the Eastern Conference.
