CVBL: Utah Dominant in Win Over Atlanta
Utah posted a solid 112-98 win over Atlanta today. "I don't think we left any doubt over who was the better team today," said Utah coach Coach Young. "We pretty much did whatever we wanted out there, and I don't think they ever figured out what to do about Henderson's play."
It will be a tough task for Atlanta coach Bob to get his team up for their next game. "We really came in believing that we had a shot to win this one, but obviously that didn't happen. They outplayed us from the start, and there weren't too many happy faces in the locker room afterwards."
Utah was led by Henderson (15 points, 8 boards, 5 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Jackson (9 points, 14 boards, 5 assists, a block), Dixson (24 points, 1 assists, a block). Atlanta was led by Baker (23 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, a block), Rawlings (21 points, a block), Laws (12 points, 9 boards, 0 assists).
After today's victory, Utah jump to 23-24. They remain at #3 in the Northwest and hold at #9 overall in the Western Conference. Atlanta fall to 25-23 and 18-9 at home with this loss. They remain at #1 in the Southeast and remain at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
