CVBL: Brooklyn Clobbers Detroit
Detroit players could only shake their heads in amazement after being blown out by Brooklyn, 114-88. In addition to a great game by Foster, coach Bob had his team prepared perfectly and appeared to be reading the mind of Detroit coach David Smith. Whatever David Smith tried failed miserably, and the end result was a blowout that will stick in the minds of both sides until they meet again. After the game, David Smith said as much: "No doubt they were the better team today. But this won't be the last time we meet, and our players certainly don't like the way Bob ran up the score on us."
Brooklyn was led by Foster (32 points, 3 steals, 2 blocks), Starks (10 points, 2 steals), Steele (15 points, a steal, 5 blocks). Detroit was led by Duckworth (8 points, 2 steals, a block), Garcia (22 points, 0 assists, a block), Sandercock (11 points, 2 assists, a steal).
