CVBL: Houston Dominant in Win Over Milwaukee
Houston dominated Milwaukee today, winning by a final score of 109-88. Although the score was 0-0 at the start of the game, Houston quickly took charge and, aside from brief flurries of activity by Milwaukee, were never really threatened. "We were schooled out there," said Milwaukee coach Bob. "I mean it wasn't a blowout, but they sure were in control the entire game. [Houston coach] Bob did a great job getting his team ready for the game, and Sims was nearly unstoppable."
Houston was led by Sims (18 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, a block), Thompson (16 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, a block), Lewis (24 points, 1 assists). Milwaukee was led by Gustafson (18 points, 6 boards, 0 assists), Nichols (15 points, 8 boards, 1 assists), Fiore (14 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a block).
Houston improve to 36-10. They stay at #1 in the Southwest and hold at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Milwaukee have been beaten in the past 10 games and stand at 11-37 and 7-16 at home. They remain at #4 in the Central and stay at #13 overall in the Eastern Conference.
