CVBL: LA Clippers Gets Solid 87-76 Win

A great game by Boswell led LA Clippers to a 87-76 defeat of Utah. Although Utah certainly planned for Boswell in their pre-game strategy, stopping him during the game turned out to be more of a challenge. "We thought we knew how to beat LA Clippers, but we were dead wrong," said Utah coach Coach Young. "We figured we'd try to put them out of their game plan and try to limit Boswell's effectiveness, but it simply didn't happen - he was just too good."

Said Boswell, "I knew I had a target on my back, and took it as a challenge. If they're going to change their game plan to stop me, it gives me that much more desire to step up and perservere. Anyway, they know what I can do now, so we'll see if they dare try this strategy again." Tune in next time.

LA Clippers was led by Boswell (6 points, 4 steals), Quarles (30 points), Minor (17 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks). Utah was led by Bush (20 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Bernard (15 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Smith (8 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 5 blocks).

LA Clippers keep rolling with a winning streak of 9 games and jump to 42-8 and 22-2 at home. They hold at #1 in the Pacific and remain at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Utah keep stumbling with a losing streak of 7 games and stand at 14-35. They stay at #4 in the Northwest and stay at #13 overall in the Western Conference.
