CVBL: Brooklyn Stumbles, New York Win
New York got just enough breaks to upset Brooklyn, 118-104. The pace of play was clearly dictated by Brooklyn, showing who was the better team. But New York came up with the right plays at the right times to convert more scoring chances and come away with the win.
"We got our share of luck today," acknowledged New York coach Bob. "They pretty much dictated the game but we were able to get the job done when it mattered. Harrington really helped us out there; we couldn't have pulled it off without him."
New York was led by Harrington (16 points, 13 boards, 3 assists), Ortega (25 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a block), Alves (10 points, 9 boards, 2 assists). Brooklyn was led by Owens (27 points, 5 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Hargrove (6 points, 16 boards, 2 assists, a block), Jackson (6 points, a steal).
