CVBL: Denver 112, Milwaukee 109
Banks continues to dominate the league and helped Denver post an expected win over Milwaukee, 112-109. The game was a solid team effort, but Banks - a favorite for post-season honors - was outstanding, completely overshadowing a great performance by Milwaukee key player, Daniels.
Banks's coach, Bob, had nothing but praise for his star. "He's just special. It's something just to sit back and watch him do his thing. He certainly brings pride to Denver fans everywhere." Milwaukee coach Bob was concilliatory after the game as well. "When Banks is doing his thing, you just hope you can keep him under control. We didn't, though Daniels certainly did his part. We really thought we could win this game, so the locker room is pretty quiet right now. We'll just have to turn our focus to next week."
Denver was led by Banks (21 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, a block), Schmidt (23 points, 6 boards, 2 assists), Beachum (20 points, a block). Milwaukee was led by Daniels (21 points, 22 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Fiore (25 points, 2 steals, a block), Courtney (13 points).
Denver improve to 31-19. They remain at #2 in the Northwest and remain at #5 overall in the Western Conference. Milwaukee drop to 15-36 and 13-16 at home after this defeat. They hold at #5 in the Central and fall to #15 overall in the Eastern Conference.
