CVBL: Denver Coasts Past Cleveland

Denver overpowered Cleveland today, showing who is the better team. Most around the league expected this kind of result, but Cleveland head coach Bob was defiant until game time. "Underdogs, my ----. We've got enough talent and enough heart to play with anybody in the league." Afterwards, his tune had changed significantly. "We've got some work ahead of us before we can play at their level."

The only bright point for Cleveland was the great play by Bravo, and Bob was quick to praise his star. "If the whole team had played with his energy, we'd have been able to play with Denver. The bright side is that we know what he can do against them, and we'll try to build on that for our next meeting."

Denver was led by Davidson (14 points, a steal, 2 blocks), Simmons (20 points, 11 boards, 1 assists), Murphy (7 points, 3 steals). Cleveland was led by Bravo (18 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a block), Patrick (20 points, a steal, 2 blocks), Smith (11 points, 2 steals).

Denver extended their winning streak 8 games and jump to 36-14 and 20-5 at home. They remain at #1 in the Northwest and stay at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Cleveland fall to 28-21. They remain at #5 in the Central and hold at #8 overall in the Eastern Conference.
