CVBL: Bob Gets Big Win over Houston
New York looked like champions today, beating Houston 98-82. "That's the best we've seen them for a while," said an overwhelmed Houston coach Bob. "None of the tapes we had of them showed the fluid execution that we saw out there today, and frankly we just weren't prepared as well as they were. I take full responsibility for that; with better preparation we could have won. Instead they just took over the game and never let us back in."
New York was led by Frazier (24 points, 13 boards, 1 assists), Dunn (8 points, 5 steals, a block), Brumfield (11 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks). Houston was led by Leonard (14 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 4 blocks), Allbritton (20 points, 0 assists, 2 steals), Marchese (12 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block).
With today's win, New York jump to 26-22 and 18-6 at home. They move up to #4 in the Atlantic and improve to #7 overall in the Eastern Conference. Houston broke their tear at 8 games, and are now 19-28. They remain at #4 in the Southwest and drop to #10 overall in the Western Conference.
