CVBL: Bob Gets Big Win over Utah
Memphis looked like champions today, beating Utah 86-73. "That's the best we've seen them for a while," said an overwhelmed Utah coach Coach Young. "None of the tapes we had of them showed the fluid execution that we saw out there today, and frankly we just weren't prepared as well as they were. I take full responsibility for that; with better preparation we could have won. Instead they just took over the game and never let us back in."
Memphis was led by Dolly (30 points), Maxwell (18 points, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Sigler (11 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks). Utah was led by Robinson (20 points, 7 boards, 6 assists), Perkins (15 points, a steal, 3 blocks), Patton (16 points, 5 boards, 1 assists).
Memphis stand at 44-11 and 25-5 at home after today's victory. They remain at #1 in the Southwest and hold at #2 overall in the Western Conference. Utah snapped their winning streak at 5 games, and fall to 42-13. They remain at #1 in the Northwest and hold at #3 overall in the Western Conference.
