CVBL: Bob Ecstatic as New Orleans Upset Philadelphia
New Orleans fans watched in amazement, as their team was dominated throughout the game but came away with the 109-95 upset of Philadelphia. A frustrated Philadelphia coach Bob was interviewed after the game. "I kept thinking that we'd be able to come back and pull out the win. I mean we did everything right and controlled the flow of the game, but ended up just short countless times. Even as things wound down I was confident because we were so dominant out there. But eventually I saw that the better team wasn't going to get the win today."
New Orleans coach Bob agreed. "I've been on the other end of this plenty of times, too. It's frustrating to watch when you've clearly got the better team out there but can't get the win. As for today, we'll consider ourselves lucky and be more than happy to get the win."
New Orleans was led by Jones (39 points, 2 assists, a block), Solario (29 points, 0 assists), Brown (8 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, a block). Philadelphia was led by Ziegler (22 points, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Palacios (15 points, 1 assists, a steal), Austin (13 points, 2 assists).
After the victory, New Orleans improve to 20-34 and 11-17 at home. They stay at #4 in the Southwest and stay at #12 overall in the Western Conference. With this defeat, Philadelphia fall to 32-24. They stay at #3 in the Atlantic and fall to #6 overall in the Eastern Conference.
