CVBL: Detroit Steals Spotlight from Washington
Martin was unstoppable today, leading Detroit to a 111-89 win over Washington. "I've never seen anything like that," said Washington star Gibson. "Martin just flat-out dominated, and there was nothing any of us could do about it." Agreed coach Bob, "He's an excellent talent with an excellent coach. I'm afraid that we'll be seeing more of him down the road."
Martin refused to get caught up in the excitement, however. "I just did what coach told me to do," he said. "And we couldn't have won without my teammates doing their best as well." While true, Martin certainly increased the margin of victory from a close call to a solid win.
