CVBL: Portland Cruises Past Minnesota

Portland dominated Minnesota today, winning by a final score of 118-99. Although the score was 0-0 at the start of the game, Portland quickly took charge and, aside from brief flurries of activity by Minnesota, were never really threatened. "We were schooled out there," said Minnesota coach Bob. "I mean it wasn't a blowout, but they sure were in control the entire game. [Portland coach] Bob did a great job getting his team ready for the game, and Smith was nearly unstoppable." Portland was led by Smith (27 points, 17 assists, 4 steals), Jackson (26 points, 8 boards, 5 assists, 3 blocks), Kimbell (13 points, 7 boards, 2 assists). Minnesota was led by Prince (9 points, 9 assists, 3 steals, a block), Lundy (18 points, a block), Thomas (19 points, 0 assists).

Portland stand at 38-17 with the victory. They remain at #1 in the Northwest and stay at #3 overall in the Western Conference. Minnesota drop to 25-32 and 13-13 at home. They hold at #5 in the Northwest and hold at #10 overall in the Western Conference.
