CVBL: Milwaukee Pulls out the Win over Cleveland

Milwaukee beat Cleveland today, 109-100. But the big headlines in the game came from an incident involving Cleveland players and coach Bob after the game. After the players disappeared into their respective locker rooms, Cleveland players reportedly attacked coach, throwing him to the ground. Reporters waiting outside heard only pieces of the shouting, but the players were clearly upset by Bob's questionable calls late in the game. Cleveland star Smith was one of those involved, and was still upset about the situation during the post-game interviews. "I'm not free to comment on what happened," he said. "But I will tell you that I'm working my tail off every game and expect the same effort from my teammates and coaches."

Interviews with Milwaukee players were a bit less exciting, with Jaramillo giving the cliche line "we're just happy to come out with the win. Coach Bob and his team gave a good fight, but we were the better team today."

Milwaukee was led by Jaramillo (24 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Valentine (14 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Thomas (16 points, 9 boards, 1 assists). Cleveland was led by Smith (11 points, 8 assists, a steal), Patrick (16 points, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Bravo (14 points, 9 boards, 0 assists).

Milwaukee are now 39-17 with today's victory. They hold at #1 in the Central and remain at #1 overall in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland drop to 32-25 and 21-9 at home with this loss. They stay at #5 in the Central and remain at #9 overall in the Eastern Conference.
