CVBL: Charlotte Cruises Past Toronto

Charlotte gave a solid effort, handling Toronto with ease in today's 117-103 win. This came as no surprise to Charlotte fans, who have been watching their team continue to improve recently. Players are starting to feel more confident as well. "I feel we can take on just about anybody right now," said today's star, Plungis. "The way this team's playing, there's no limit to how far we can go." Charlotte head coach Bob echoed his sentiment, saying "They all know they're as good as any other team in the league. They just have to stay focused and keep working, and the rest will take care of itself."

Lost in the excitement over Charlotte was the performance of Toronto star Price.

Charlotte was led by Plungis (31 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a block), White (23 points, a steal, 2 blocks), Torres (19 points, 13 boards, 0 assists). Toronto was led by Price (6 points, 10 assists, 4 steals), Way (20 points, a steal, a block), Davis (12 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block).

Charlotte improve to 36-22. They hold at #2 in the Southeast and hold at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. After today's loss, Toronto are now 21-36 and 13-14 at home. They remain at #4 in the Atlantic and hold at #14 overall in the Eastern Conference.
