CVBL: Miami Wins Over Boston 107-91
Miami brushed past an overmatched Boston team today 107-91. Always politically correct, Miami coach Bob stated simply "We just managed to do what we needed to get done out there. The players had solid execution all around, and Keeney's effort helped set the pace. Boston is a team we've had success against in the past, which I think gave us a bit more confidence coming in."
Boston coach Bob was a little more frank. "We knew going in that we'd need a miracle to beat Miami, and we didn't get it. They have better players and a better coach, and did what they were supposed to do out there. I'm just glad the final score wasn't even worse."
Miami was led by Keeney (20 points, 12 boards, 0 assists), Hannah (17 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Romero (14 points, 6 boards, 1 assists). Boston was led by Owens (17 points, 7 boards, 0 assists), Jasper (17 points, 1 assists, a block), Woodard (12 points, 8 boards, 1 assists).
Miami improve to 34-23 and 22-7 at home with the victory. They remain at #1 in the Southeast and stay at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. Boston fall to 23-35. They hold at #5 in the Atlantic and hold at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference.
