CVBL: Utah Defeats Milwaukee 79-71

Utah beat Milwaukee today, 79-71. But the big headlines in the game came from an incident involving Milwaukee players and coach Bob after the game. After the players disappeared into their respective locker rooms, Milwaukee players reportedly attacked coach, throwing him to the ground. Reporters waiting outside heard only pieces of the shouting, but the players were clearly upset by Bob's questionable calls late in the game. Milwaukee star Deleon was one of those involved, and was still upset about the situation during the post-game interviews. "I'm not free to comment on what happened," he said. "But I will tell you that I'm working my tail off every game and expect the same effort from my teammates and coaches."

Interviews with Utah players were a bit less exciting, with Robinson giving the cliche line "we're just happy to come out with the win. Coach Bob and his team gave a good fight, but we were the better team today."

Utah was led by Robinson (23 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Perkins (18 points, 2 blocks), Patton (8 points, 0 assists, a steal, 4 blocks). Milwaukee was led by Deleon (21 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a steal), Nichols (19 points, 0 assists), Fiore (11 points, 1 assists, 3 blocks).

Utah jump to 44-13 after this win. They remain at #1 in the Northwest and stay at #3 overall in the Western Conference. Milwaukee fall to 16-41 and 10-20 at home after this loss. They stay at #5 in the Central and remain at #14 overall in the Eastern Conference.
