CVBL: Golden State 114, Minnesota 86 in Shocker
A new-look Golden State team shocked Minnesota today, winning 114-86. "Wow," remarked Minnesota coach Bob. "We came in thinking we knew what to expect, but we were sure wrong. [Golden State coach] Perez Suarez really did his job preparing for the game, and has turned his team around. If they can keep it up, they'll be a force to be reckoned with."
Said Perez Suarez, "The players have struggled a bit with our system here. It's nice to see things finally start to sink in. I also have to thank Hannah. I think some of the players were a bit intimidated coming in, but after he started dominating the whole team rode the wave."
Golden State was led by Hannah (25 points, 1 assists), Taylor (5 points, 4 steals), Moore (16 points, 2 steals, a block). Minnesota was led by Daniels (14 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Smith (5 points, 10 assists, a steal), Lundy (20 points, a steal).
Golden State jump to 13-45 and 11-18 at home. They stay at #5 in the Pacific and remain at #15 overall in the Western Conference. Minnesota stand at 33-25. They remain at #3 in the Northwest and stay at #7 overall in the Western Conference.
