CVBL: Chicago Coasts Past Portland

Sigler was unstoppable today, leading Chicago to a 108-89 win over Portland. "I've never seen anything like that," said Portland star Hume. "Sigler just flat-out dominated, and there was nothing any of us could do about it." Agreed coach Bob, "He's an excellent talent with an excellent coach. I'm afraid that we'll be seeing more of him down the road."

Sigler refused to get caught up in the excitement, however. "I just did what coach told me to do," he said. "And we couldn't have won without my teammates doing their best as well." While true, Sigler certainly increased the margin of victory from a close call to a solid win.

Chicago was led by Sigler (23 points, 2 assists, a block), Farmer (13 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Joyner (18 points, 5 boards, 2 assists). Portland was led by Hume (9 points, 6 boards, 7 assists, 2 steals), Oh (18 points, 3 steals), Williams (9 points, 4 assists, a steal).

After today's win, Chicago stand at 36-21 and 22-8 at home. They hold at #3 in the Central and move up to #5 overall in the Eastern Conference. With this loss, Portland drop to 32-25. They remain at #2 in the Northwest and remain at #5 overall in the Western Conference.
