CVBL: Brooklyn All Over Milwaukee
The Milwaukee coach and players looked bewildered today, as they were steamrolled 118-76 by Brooklyn. "I'm not sure they knew what hit them," said Brooklyn coach Bob. "It didn't really seem like they came out with much of a plan, instead playing like a pickup team. I hate to criticize [Milwaukee coach] Bob, but I don't think he did his job preparing for this game."
That has been an increasingly frequent impression in Milwaukee games, leading many supporters to call for the coach's head. The players tend to avoid the matter, but today was the final straw for Milwaukee star Daniels. "We couldn't believe what we were hearing in practices. Stuff like, 'just go out and do your best and good things will happen.' He didn't show us any film of Brooklyn, and we really came out today with no idea what to expect. I try to be a team player and all, but when the coach isn't doing his job, we're not going to win."
Brooklyn was led by Spring (22 points, a steal, a block), Alves (18 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, a block), Lee (18 points, 8 boards, 0 assists). Milwaukee was led by Daniels (11 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Dixon (14 points, 1 assists, 2 steals, a block), Deleon (10 points).
Brooklyn improve to 40-17 and 23-4 at home. They hold at #2 in the Atlantic and stay at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference. With the defeat, Milwaukee are now 17-44. They stay at #5 in the Central and hold at #15 overall in the Eastern Conference.
