CVBL: Philadelphia Downs Dallas

Ferguson was unstoppable today, leading Philadelphia to a 86-72 win over Dallas. "I've never seen anything like that," said Dallas star White. "Ferguson just flat-out dominated, and there was nothing any of us could do about it." Agreed coach Bob, "He's an excellent talent with an excellent coach. I'm afraid that we'll be seeing more of him down the road."

Ferguson refused to get caught up in the excitement, however. "I just did what coach told me to do," he said. "And we couldn't have won without my teammates doing their best as well." While true, Ferguson certainly increased the margin of victory from a close call to a solid win.

Philadelphia was led by Ferguson (13 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Norman (19 points, 2 blocks), Sims (10 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks). Dallas was led by White (9 points, 6 assists, 3 steals), Mcadoo (7 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Garcia (6 points, 11 boards, 0 assists).

Philadelphia improve to 38-21 and 22-7 at home with today's win. They hold at #1 in the Atlantic and hold at #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. Dallas drop to 25-32. They drop to #4 in the Southwest and fall to #12 overall in the Western Conference.
