CVBL: Miami Cruises Past New York
Miami looked like champions today, beating New York 120-106. "That's the best we've seen them for a while," said an overwhelmed New York coach Bob. "None of the tapes we had of them showed the fluid execution that we saw out there today, and frankly we just weren't prepared as well as they were. I take full responsibility for that; with better preparation we could have won. Instead they just took over the game and never let us back in."
Miami was led by Dupree (29 points), Torres (6 points, 7 assists, 4 steals), Hively (8 points, 11 boards, 3 assists). New York was led by Knott (14 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, a block), Rowe (19 points, a steal, 2 blocks), Harrington (10 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, a block).
Miami are now 39-21 and 21-9 at home after today's win. They remain at #1 in the Southeast and hold at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. New York drop to 28-32 with this defeat. They remain at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference.
