CVBL: Houston Cruises to 95-84 Win over Minnesota
Houston posted a solid 95-84 win over Minnesota today. "I don't think we left any doubt over who was the better team today," said Houston coach Bob. "We pretty much did whatever we wanted out there, and I don't think they ever figured out what to do about Lewis's play."
It will be a tough task for Minnesota coach Bob to get his team up for their next game. "We really came in believing that we had a shot to win this one, but obviously that didn't happen. They outplayed us from the start, and there weren't too many happy faces in the locker room afterwards."
Houston was led by Lewis (23 points, 1 assists, a steal), Sims (19 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Fox (15 points). Minnesota was led by Dirks (18 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Lundy (21 points, 0 assists), Powers (17 points, 5 boards, 1 assists).
With today's win, Houston jump to 34-27 and 19-13 at home. They remain at #2 in the Southwest and stay at #6 overall in the Western Conference. After this loss, Minnesota stand at 27-34. They stay at #5 in the Northwest and hold at #11 overall in the Western Conference.
