CVBL: Sacramento Comes up Big Over Chicago

Sacramento beat Chicago today in a 94-85 game that was close the whole way. For much of the game, it looked like Chicago would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Smith. But the tide finally turned in the end, with Sacramento star Bravo leading his team to victory.

"Definitely a great game," said Sacramento coach Bob after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Bravo was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."

Sacramento was led by Bravo (12 points, 20 boards, 4 assists, 2 blocks), Sherrill (28 points, 2 assists, a block), Gilliam (20 points, 5 boards, 1 assists). Chicago was led by Smith (21 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks), Foster (9 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Spann (11 points, 1 assists, a block).

Sacramento have won their last 5 games and improve to 51-9 and 29-4 at home. They stay at #1 in the Pacific and hold at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Chicago fall to 18-42. They stay at #4 in the Central and remain at #12 overall in the Eastern Conference.
