CVBL: Perez Suarez Ecstatic as Golden State Upsets Indiana

Golden State overcame huge odds and a great Indiana team to pull off a big upset today. The game begin with a yawn, as nobody in the stadium except for the Golden State player and coach Perez Suarez thought the game would turn out this way. But as the game progressed and Golden State stayed with Indiana and started pulling ahead, the electricity in the air began to build. By the end, fans of both sides knew they had witnessed one of the great performances ever.

Even Indiana coach Coach Hitch was impressed. "Normally in an upset, the favorite has to really screw things up. We didn't play magnificently, but we didn't play badly either. You just have to give credit to Perez Suarez and his team. Reeve played especially well for them; I don't think anyone really expected that sort of game from him."

Golden State was led by Reeve (20 points, 23 boards, 2 assists), Chiles (24 points, 5 assists, 4 steals), Worthy (7 points, 4 assists, 3 steals). Indiana was led by Henderson (22 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Williams (14 points, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Cato (15 points, a steal).

Golden State stand at 16-45 and 11-21 at home. They stay at #3 in the Pacific and stay at #13 overall in the Western Conference. Indiana are now 36-22. They remain at #2 in the Central and hold at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference.
