CVBL: Dallas Needs Overtime To Down Denver
Forrester scored 44 points, saving Dallas from upset and keying a 123-117 overtime win over Denver. "I guess we got a bit overconfident and overlooked them," said Dallas coach Bob. "You should never believe your own press, but that's what we did. Fortunately we had Forrester out there, who was on fire from the start and whose intensity gradually rubbed off on the rest of the players. It's a shame it took them so long to wake up, but we'll be happy with the win."
Dallas was led by Forrester (44 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, a steal, a block), Perry (36 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, a block), Langley (12 points). Denver was led by Phillips (19 points, 13 boards, 3 assists, a steal), Beachum (28 points), Banks (20 points, 0 assists, a steal, 2 blocks).
With today's win, Dallas jump to 30-31 and 15-16 at home. They stay at #3 in the Southwest and stay at #8 overall in the Western Conference. Denver drop to 36-25 with today's loss. They remain at #2 in the Northwest and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference.
