CVBL: LA Clippers Beats Indiana

LA Clippers overcame a great game by Henderson, beating Indiana 96-87. "It's a team sport," said losing coach Coach Hitch. "If we had another couple players like Henderson out there, we'd have won this game easily. But we didn't, so we didn't." Coach Hitch has been under fire lately, and the lackluster performance by his players (save Henderson) certainly doesn't improve his job security any.

The normally-quiet Henderson was less than satisfied after the game. "I feel betrayed - like I did my best and my teammates didn't. I don't know if it was coach's fault for not getting the team up, or if the other players just all had an off day at the same time. But this was a close game, we had our chances, and we didn't execute when we needed."

LA Clippers was led by Newton (8 points, a steal), Jenkins (27 points), Wood (8 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, a block). Indiana was led by Henderson (22 points, 9 boards, 0 assists), Williams (17 points, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Cato (14 points, 0 assists, a block).

LA Clippers jump to 42-18. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and hold at #3 overall in the Western Conference. After today's defeat, Indiana stand at 36-23 and 20-11 at home. They remain at #2 in the Central and remain at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference.
