CVBL: LA Clippers Wins

Brown continues to dominate the league and helped LA Clippers post an expected win over Brooklyn, 100-95. The game was a solid team effort, but Brown - a favorite for post-season honors - was outstanding, completely overshadowing a great performance by Brooklyn key player, Jeanlouis.

Brown's coach, Bob, had nothing but praise for his star. "He's just special. It's something just to sit back and watch him do his thing. He certainly brings pride to LA Clippers fans everywhere." Brooklyn coach Bob was concilliatory after the game as well. "When Brown is doing his thing, you just hope you can keep him under control. We didn't, though Jeanlouis certainly did his part. We really thought we could win this game, so the locker room is pretty quiet right now. We'll just have to turn our focus to next week."

LA Clippers was led by Brown (29 points, 17 boards, 2 assists, 5 blocks), Davidson (7 points, 6 boards, 12 assists, 2 steals), Murphy (13 points, 13 boards, 2 assists). Brooklyn was led by Jeanlouis (22 points, 0 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks), Spring (20 points), Lee (8 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, a block).

With the win, LA Clippers stand at 45-15. They hold at #1 in the Pacific and stay at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Brooklyn drop to 41-18 and 23-5 at home with today's defeat. They hold at #2 in the Atlantic and remain at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference.
