CVBL: Milwaukee Downs Toronto
Everything clicked for Milwaukee today, as they soundly beat Toronto 100-87. Toronto looked beaten for most of the afternoon, and the final outcome was in little doubt. "I thought we came out ready to play, but we were just overmatched," said Toronto coach Bob. "It's kind of demoralizing to lose that way, knowing that you played your best and it wasn't nearly enough." Bob now has the unenviable task of getting his team ready to face another day.
Milwaukee coach Bob couldn't be happier, though. His game plan was executed perfectly, and his players were able to dominate all aspects of the game. "It's great to get a win like this, when everything went according to plan."
Milwaukee was led by Thomas (28 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals), Jaramillo (19 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, a block), Valentine (12 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block). Toronto was led by Henderson (16 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, a block), Lillard (12 points, 12 boards, 0 assists), Morgan (15 points, 1 assists).
Milwaukee are now 42-18. They hold at #1 in the Central and hold at #1 overall in the Eastern Conference. Toronto have lost their last 5 games and are now 21-39 and 13-16 at home. They stay at #4 in the Atlantic and hold at #14 overall in the Eastern Conference.
