CVBL: Philadelphia Tops Orlando
Philadelphia beat Orlando 94-90 today in a great game. Although some pundits were predicting a blowout, the two teams delivered a memorable game that left the fans on the edges of their seats until the very end. "It's one of those games that nobody should have to lose," said Philadelphia coach Bob. "I'm definitely glad it wasn't us."
Orlando coach Bob will be rethinking some of his choices for some time. "I thought we tried the right things at the right times, but of course hindsight is perfect. Obviously not everything we did worked, though, and in a game like this that could have made the difference."
Philadelphia was led by Norman (18 points, a steal, 3 blocks), Eatmon (24 points, 1 assists, a block), Williams (20 points, 1 assists). Orlando was led by Buchanan (24 points, 6 boards, 0 assists), Vancourt (13 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, a block), Wright (20 points, a steal, a block).
After today's victory, Philadelphia are now 40-21 and 23-7 at home. They hold at #1 in the Atlantic and remain at #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. Orlando drop to 25-36 after the loss. They stay at #3 in the Southeast and stay at #9 overall in the Eastern Conference.
