CVBL: Houston 96, Cleveland 87

Houston beat Cleveland 96-87 today in a great game. Although some pundits were predicting a blowout, the two teams delivered a memorable game that left the fans on the edges of their seats until the very end. "It's one of those games that nobody should have to lose," said Houston coach Bob. "I'm definitely glad it wasn't us."

Cleveland coach Bob will be rethinking some of his choices for some time. "I thought we tried the right things at the right times, but of course hindsight is perfect. Obviously not everything we did worked, though, and in a game like this that could have made the difference."

Houston was led by Sims (18 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Lewis (23 points, a steal, a block), Fox (18 points). Cleveland was led by Martin (28 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a block), Stancil (16 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Reid (11 points, 12 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 2 blocks).

Houston are now 35-28 and 20-13 at home. They remain at #2 in the Southwest and hold at #6 overall in the Western Conference. Cleveland are now 23-38. They remain at #4 in the Central and drop to #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
