CVBL: Detroit Handles Miami 105-92

Chapman was unstoppable today, leading Detroit to a 105-92 win over Miami. "I've never seen anything like that," said Miami star Colomb. "Chapman just flat-out dominated, and there was nothing any of us could do about it." Agreed coach Bob, "He's an excellent talent with an excellent coach. I'm afraid that we'll be seeing more of him down the road."

Chapman refused to get caught up in the excitement, however. "I just did what coach told me to do," he said. "And we couldn't have won without my teammates doing their best as well." While true, Chapman certainly increased the margin of victory from a close call to a solid win.

Detroit was led by Chapman (9 points, 20 boards, 2 assists, a block), Henderson (15 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, 4 blocks), Kay (22 points, 1 assists). Miami was led by Colomb (24 points, 0 assists, a block), Williams (24 points, 0 assists), Keeney (9 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, a block).

Detroit have won their last 5 games and jump to 54-6. They hold at #1 in the Central and stay at #1 overall in the Eastern Conference. After the defeat, Miami stand at 36-25 and 24-8 at home. They stay at #1 in the Southeast and remain at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
