CVBL: New Orleans Wins Overtime Shocker over LA Clippers
When LA Clippers were getting ready for this game, few imagined that New Orleans would be able to take them into overtime. Even fewer imagined that New Orleans would get the win, but that's exactly what happened tonight. "I guess we just overlooked them," said LA Clippers star Davidson after the game. "Coach warned us about that, but we all figured this would be an easy win." Said head coach Bob, "I could tell in their eyes that the usual fire wasn't there. I suppose some of them just figured we would get the win on talent and reputation."
Bob took offense to that comment, saying "We're just as talented and well-prepared as they are. Go look at the final score. Look at the video. We're just as good, if not better." The war of words between the coaches did not appear to end quietly. "Bob ought to be grateful for the win," replied Bob when hearing of the comments. "I can promise, we'll be ready next time."
New Orleans was led by Haines (22 points, 10 boards, 4 assists, 2 blocks), Brown (10 points, 7 boards, 11 assists, 5 steals), Williams (26 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a block). LA Clippers was led by Davidson (5 points, 6 boards, 15 assists, 5 steals), Brown (26 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks), Patrick (19 points, 1 assists, a steal, a block).
