CVBL: Brooklyn Upends Sacramento 97-83

Lee's great game led Brooklyn to a 97-83 upset of Sacramento. "He really gave us the win," said winning coach Bob. "I think the rest of the team really felt intimidated coming in, but Lee showed them that we could pull off the win. You could really see the confidence build as time went on."

Stanford paced Sacramento, but his effort was not enough. "It's easy to blame the star when we come up short," said Sacramento coach Bob. "But really, if we all played like him we'd have won. It's just that we sometimes take him for granted and sit around watching him dominate. Today's game served as a wake-up call for the rest of the team."

Brooklyn was led by Lee (11 points, 12 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, a block), Miller (8 points, 2 steals), Alex (9 points, 8 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals). Sacramento was led by Stanford (10 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, 5 blocks), Davis (16 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, a block), Sherrill (17 points, 0 assists).

Brooklyn jump to 43-18 and 24-5 at home after this win. They hold at #2 in the Atlantic and stay at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference. Sacramento fall to 45-18 with the loss. They remain at #2 in the Pacific and hold at #4 overall in the Western Conference.
