CVBL: Toronto Cruises to 96-85 Win over Orlando
Toronto overpowered Orlando today, showing who is the better team. Most around the league expected this kind of result, but Orlando head coach Bob was defiant until game time. "Underdogs, my ----. We've got enough talent and enough heart to play with anybody in the league." Afterwards, his tune had changed significantly. "We've got some work ahead of us before we can play at their level."
The only bright point for Orlando was the great play by Wright, and Bob was quick to praise his star. "If the whole team had played with his energy, we'd have been able to play with Toronto. The bright side is that we know what he can do against them, and we'll try to build on that for our next meeting."
Toronto was led by Day (33 points, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Perkins (11 points, 5 boards, 6 assists, 3 steals), Daniels (23 points, a block). Orlando was led by Wright (24 points, 1 assists, a block), Mcfadden (17 points, a steal), Vancourt (18 points, a steal).
Toronto improve to 31-29 after the victory. They hold at #4 in the Atlantic and hold at #7 overall in the Eastern Conference. Orlando are now 26-36 and 19-14 at home with this loss. They stay at #2 in the Southeast and remain at #9 overall in the Eastern Conference.
