CVBL: Dallas Clobbers Atlanta
A collapse by Atlanta led to a 110-91 beating by Dallas, increasing the pressure on the Atlanta coach. Bob had to suffer through the game as his players were ineffective and his former fans were heckling. To make matters worse, the team was dominated by hated Dallas, a bad thing for any Atlanta coach.
"That ---- man can't win a ---- game if his ---- life depended on it!" screamed one disgruntled fan, who is obviously tired of Atlanta losing ways. While Atlanta deny it, rumors about that they have already started a search for a new coach who can turn this franchise around.
It was just more fuel for the fire today when Dallas took Atlanta behind the woodpile for a 110-91 whooping. Although Vegas was predicting a Dallas win, many people believed the Atlanta certainly had the talent to knock them off. Chandler did everything in his power to help his coach, but in the end Robinson led the Dallas to victory.
"You hate to see somebody with Bob's character go through this. It's just a sad sight," commented Dallas coach Bob. "We're obviously delighted to get the victory over such a worthy adversary in a big rivalry game like this, and all I can do is credit my players, my assistants, and our fans."
Dallas was led by Robinson (18 points, 13 boards, 1 assists), Kay (11 points, 16 boards, 1 assists, a block), Meyers (18 points, a steal). Atlanta was led by Chandler (6 points, 6 boards, 12 assists, 6 steals), Baker (17 points, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Wade (14 points, 0 assists, a steal, a block).
With today's victory, Dallas stand at 37-25 and 23-8 at home. They stay at #2 in the Southwest and stay at #4 overall in the Western Conference. Atlanta fall to 26-38. They hold at #5 in the Southeast and hold at #13 overall in the Eastern Conference.
