CVBL: Miami Upends Dallas 118-111
Miami fans watched in amazement, as their team was dominated throughout the game but came away with the 118-111 upset of Dallas. A frustrated Dallas coach Bob was interviewed after the game. "I kept thinking that we'd be able to come back and pull out the win. I mean we did everything right and controlled the flow of the game, but ended up just short countless times. Even as things wound down I was confident because we were so dominant out there. But eventually I saw that the better team wasn't going to get the win today."
Miami coach Bob agreed. "I've been on the other end of this plenty of times, too. It's frustrating to watch when you've clearly got the better team out there but can't get the win. As for today, we'll consider ourselves lucky and be more than happy to get the win."
Miami was led by Fisher (8 points, 8 boards, 16 assists, 2 steals), Romero (19 points, 11 boards, 3 assists), Frost (14 points, 15 boards, 0 assists). Dallas was led by Schmidt (46 points, a steal), Thompson (24 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, 6 blocks), Givens (14 points, 0 assists, 2 blocks).
With this victory, Miami improve to 24-39 and 14-17 at home. They stay at #4 in the Southeast and advance to #10 overall in the Eastern Conference. Dallas stand at 28-34 after this defeat. They remain at #3 in the Southwest and fall to #11 overall in the Western Conference.
