CVBL: Miami Wins
Williams led Miami to victory today over Indiana in a 105-101 game. "It was a tough one to lose," said losing coach Coach Hitch. "I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Williams made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."
Miami coach Bob was equally admiring of his star. "Indiana were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Williams and getting the win today."
Miami was led by Williams (25 points), Colomb (22 points, 5 boards, 0 assists), Keeney (18 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks). Indiana was led by Robinson (14 points, 17 boards, 0 assists, 5 blocks), Gray (23 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Lake (7 points, 2 steals).
Miami stand at 38-25. They stay at #1 in the Southeast and remain at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. With today's defeat, Indiana drop to 36-30 and 21-12 at home. They remain at #2 in the Central and stay at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference.
