CVBL: Sacramento All Over San Antonio

A great game by Davis led Sacramento to a 108-78 blowout of San Antonio. "Coach had a talk with me before the game," said Davis afterwards. "He told me San Antonio was a tough team and that he needed me to play my best out there. He was right; I felt that when I started getting the job done, it gave the rest of the team a boost."

Said San Antonio coach Bob, "He was magnificent out there. I'd like to think that we could have won if he hadn't played, but I doubt it. Their whole team was too good for us today."

Sacramento was led by Davis (18 points, 20 boards, 0 assists, a block), Stanford (12 points, 9 boards, 2 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Sherrill (24 points, 0 assists). San Antonio was led by Meyers (24 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Stroman (9 points, 11 boards, 0 assists), Worthy (10 points, a block).

With today's win, Sacramento stand at 46-18 and 24-6 at home. They remain at #2 in the Pacific and remain at #4 overall in the Western Conference. San Antonio are now 19-47. They hold at #5 in the Southwest and stay at #14 overall in the Western Conference.
