CVBL: 108-89 Denver
Denver looked like champions today, beating Minnesota 108-89. "That's the best we've seen them for a while," said an overwhelmed Minnesota coach Bob. "None of the tapes we had of them showed the fluid execution that we saw out there today, and frankly we just weren't prepared as well as they were. I take full responsibility for that; with better preparation we could have won. Instead they just took over the game and never let us back in."
Denver was led by Banks (27 points, 1 assists, a steal), Ferguson (13 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Schmidt (21 points, a steal). Minnesota was led by Dirks (17 points, 12 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals), Patterson (8 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, 4 blocks), Mark (18 points, 1 assists).
Denver are now 39-26. They stay at #2 in the Northwest and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference. Minnesota stand at 29-36 and 16-14 at home. They remain at #5 in the Northwest and hold at #11 overall in the Western Conference.
