CVBL: Bob Satisfied With Sacramento Win
It has been a nightmare season for veteran coach Bob and his team. The bright points have been few and far between, as the team is looking for somewhere to hide. Today's game was equally painful, as the team opened up strong but collapsed down the stretch, failing to take advantages of numerous opportunities to get back in the game. Taylor helped put the nail in the coffin today with his outstanding game.
"Bob talked a lot of junk before the start of the season." stated Sacramento Taylor. "They may be one of the worst teams in the league, but we know that everyone in that locker room wants to play just a little harder when they see San Antonio on their schedule."
"Sure, they do stink." added head coach Bob, "but look at what happened when teams have been overconfident against them. Not that I can really blame them. If we were that pathetic, I think I would rather play all rookies and lose that way then be embarrassed."
Sacramento was led by Taylor (5 points, 6 boards, 10 assists, 2 steals), Stanford (10 points, 15 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Davis (14 points, 12 boards, 0 assists, a steal). San Antonio was led by Scott (13 points, 8 assists, a steal), Meyers (13 points, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Buzzo (12 points, 0 assists, a steal).
Sacramento are now 50-20 and 27-6 at home with the victory. They hold at #2 in the Pacific and hold at #4 overall in the Western Conference. San Antonio fall to 19-51. They hold at #5 in the Southwest and fall to #15 overall in the Western Conference.
